Clubs
Friday during period 7 students in 4th and 5th grade partake in extra curricular activities. These activities promote the love of the arts, sports and community.
Crochet & Knitting

Flag Football with Ms. Alland
Students will practice different offensive running patterns, work on cooperation, listening skills and comradeship through this team sport. After a few sessions which also include throwing and catching, students will begin to play a game and each week will count as a quarter until 4 quarters are played. Each team will have a defensive line-up and an offensive line-up. After an entire game is complete, teams will then be reorganized and a new game will be played.
Healthy Living with Mrs. Panza
Children will learn about ways to eat healthy. They will learn to make healthy substitutions for what they eat. Children will learn exercise techniques that can be done at home. The students in this club will work on ways to be leaders in our school community by being confident and saying no to Bullying!
Lanyard with Ms. Zaoutis
We will be learning various stitches such as box stitch, cobra, and Chinese staircase to make key chains, zipper pulls and bracelets using lanyard.

Puzzles with Mrs. Skulikidis
Students will work together to create jigsaw puzzles.

Movie Writing with Mr. Greene
This club gets to watch movies together. Through the viewing of the movie they will work on different writing assignments. For example, character reviews movie predictions and movie ratings. Students will also have an opportunity to create alternate endings, comic strips and posters.

Theater Set Design with Mrs. Pou
This club works closely with our theater group. Students in set design create backgrounds, props and will also be responsible for preparing for our spring show.
Word Game Club with Mrs. Fernandez
Students will improve vocabulary and spelling in a fun way. They play Scrabbleand Boggle.
Strategy Games with Ms. Bernardino
Strategy games requires students to carefully plan each move they make in order to win weekly games. Games are played in groups of 2- 5 students. We play a variety of games including Uno, Jenga, and Mancala.

Scrapbooking with Mrs. Clark
Students will learn to turn photographs into a special book of memories. This will involve creative thinking for design and writing.
Theater with Mrs. Lalicata & Mrs. Alvarez
Students will memorize lines, learn lyrics to music and learn how to work on stage. They will prepare to put on a show in the spring.
