P.S. 212Q: Our Instructional Priority: Empowering Communicators Through Writing
Our core instructional priority is to build teacher capacity to plan and implement daily writing assignments across all content areas. Our goal is to strengthen writing for all students in grades K-5 by explicitly teaching and modeling writing strategies aligned to the Science of Reading. Student writing will be regularly analyzed to provide feedback and guide next steps in each learner’s development. This priority ensures that all K–5 students, including multilingual learners and students with diverse needs, are supported in becoming confident, capable writers.
