Physical Education Program
The physical education program at P.S. 212 Queens uses many resources to engage students and enhance their fitness levels and awareness in a fun and safe way. Students also learn fitness through exciting activities, sports, and games which help develop leadership skills.
Students in grades 4 and 5 are required to participate in the Fitnessgram Test. Their warm-up includes components that will help prepare them for the test.
As part of the Physical Education program, there are culminating events such as Field Day where grades compete against each other in fun, cooperative games either at a public park or in the schoolyard.
While at home visit OpenPhysEd.org for exciting activities to keep you moving. Look for the Active Home module and, as always, SAFETY FIRST
ADDITIONALLY:
HIV and AIDS are available for parents to discuss with your child. All lessons are age appropriate. Prevention lessons are geared toward taking precautions to stop the spread of many diseases.
